About me

In the summer of 2016, I had a successful Skype interview for a part-time teaching job in London (still no idea how I pulled that off). Within three weeks I stuffed my things into a huge suitcase (the hardest part was to leave my books and my sister behind), said goodbye to my family and friends (a huge shout out to Skype and whastsapp for keeping us connected), and made my way to England’s pulsing capital.

Fast forward to winter 2017: The part-time job has turned into a full-time position, I turned a year older, I met nice people, made an awesome friend (it’s hard to click with someone right away on so many levels), and I finally make some decent money –  but don’t have much time to spend it (ah, the irony of life).

I decided to create this blog in order to learn more about this noisy, polluted, diverse, crazy, expensive, beautiful and fast-paced city as I’m trying to settle in, one day at at time.

If you’re interested in traveling or even moving to London, I’d be happy if you’d stick around and virtually follow me around town while I’m catching a ride on those red buses.
